The first space of our own has been in operation since 2012 and we affectionately call it “Headquarters”. With the loving effort of the whole community, we were able to renovate and expand it, adding multipurpose rooms, classrooms, spaces for workshops, a dentist's clinic, offices and a beautiful sports center.
The second center, “Leaving Footprints”, is in the El Pantano neighborhood. When the locale was settled, the neighbors decided to dedicate that space to community use and called upon SonRisas to manage it. We have been working there since September 2016, and anyone who knew the shed in its early days would not recognize it today. There are classrooms, meeting rooms, workshops, community kitchens, a sports center and offices for the use of professionals.
The last Center we opened is located in the Las Chacritas neighborhood. We began our journey by sharing a building with another organization and as of late 2019 we have a spacious facility of our own, with classrooms, manufacturing areas, a large outdoor space and a beautiful community vegetable garden.
